A visit to Luogosanto, an ancient Sacred Medieval village at the foot of Mount Ghjuanni in the heart of Gallura, evokes the mysterious sense of sacredness of the place and a different flow of time. A welcoming destination for endless pilgrimages, the town owes its name to the devotion of the community residing there and to the 22 sanctuaries scattered throughout the territory. The sacred and medieval itinerary winds its way through settlements from the Nuragic era, rural churches, and medieval architecture, concluding with a visit to a corner of a small paradise – the Officinal Sardegna Herbalist, where you will be welcomed to discover a world full of charm amidst pristine nature. It will be a walk through helichrysum cultivations, admiring the expanses of countryside that unbelievably stretch just a few kilometers from the Costa Smeralda.
The journey continues with a visit to a local winery, where, among orderly rows, the cultivation and winemaking techniques of Cannonau, Cagnulari, and Vermentino will be explained. A wine tasting accompanied by exquisite local products in the welcoming environment of the winery will conclude the visit.
