PRIVATE - ARONA BETWEEN ART AND TASTE
Meeting with an English-speaking driver at Stresa and transfer to
Arona by private car/minivan. Meeting with a licensed tourist guide in order to enjoy a tour to the historical town center, situated on the southern shore of Lake Maggiore. Transfer by private car/minivan to the nearby hilly area dominated by 'San Carlone', a big bronze and copper statue portraying St. Charles Borromeo, archbishop of Milan (XVI century), who was born just at Arona. The sculpture was projected by Giovan Battista Crespi, nicknamed “Il Cerano”, and made during XVII century.
