Come join us for an exciting truffle hunting adventure in the stunning woods of the Prenestini Mountains!
You will be accompanied by our guide and expert truffle hunter, who will lead you on this beautiful trek through nature with their sweet trained dogs. To end the experience on a high note, they will prepare a delicious 8-course lunch, all featuring truffle-based dishes.
We are located in the Prenestini Mountains, a peaceful and beautiful oasis situated between the Aniene Valley and the Sacco Valley. Their proximity to Rome makes them an ideal destination for hikes and walks in nature, offering a tranquil refuge just a few kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience in the company of man's best friends and savor the fruits of your search.
After a brief theoretical explanation about the world of truffles and the training of the dogs, you will begin your hunt, venturing into the untouched woods where truffles grow spontaneously almost all year round.
In these beautiful woods, it is possible to find various types of truffles depending on the season: from summer black truffles to marzuolo or bianchetto truffles, and the prized white truffle.
You will be guided on this fun adventure by a skilled truffle master and their sweet and loyal truffle dogs. You will learn how to move through the forest and locate truffle fields, before witnessing the moment when the dog begins to dig, and with the owner's help, unearths the precious treasure of the woods.
At the end of the morning, Matteo, our truffle hunter, will take you to his beautiful home surrounded by nature, where he will prepare a fantastic 7-course lunch, all, of course, featuring truffles.
During the meal, you will be served excellent wine from his own production, along with sweets and liqueurs. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to purchase some of the many local products you will taste.
