PRIVATE - MOSAIC WORKSHOP, CREATE YOUR MOSAIC!
Just steps away from the main UNESCO World Heritage monuments, in the heart of the historic center, Dimensione Mosaico is an artisanal workshop where, for years, Elisa and Evelina have been creating mosaics following traditional methods. In this studio, the artisans reproduce mosaics using ancient techniques while also incorporating their unique artistic style, combining mosaic art with other techniques.
The workshop offers an introduction to mosaic techniques, starting with a brief overview of mosaics, followed by a demonstration of material cutting and support preparation, guided by a professional instructor.
The mosaic you will create will be a reproduction of a pattern from the Roman or Byzantine era, using original and precious materials such as European marbles and Venetian glass paste produced in the renowned furnaces of Venice.
Together, we will craft a personalized mosaic piece, starting with the selection of the design and materials, and preparing the support. At the end of the experience, you will, of course, take your finished mosaic artwork home with you.
